No problem? No problem.
Recovery Life Hacks for Everyone on the Struggle Spectrum
WeHab is a program for better living through less. We're building on-ramps to therapy, promoting wellness and neutralizing stigma through a framework to design the lives we're destined to lead.

"The kaleidoscope of life is full of patterns. We aim to find the beauty in the mosaic."
On a Mission
We're hell bent on being heaven sent. At it's core, WeHab stands in defiance against the insatiable drive to consume, to never be sated. To be restless, irritable and discontent is the opposite of gratitude. Less is more and nothing, divine. We aim to help people cultivate so much self worth it spills out in love breeding interdepdence not codependence and its cousin, "enabling" both at the individual level all the way up to the nanny state. The critical function of WeHab is to serve as a major emotional unlock via sanctioned real talk to grapple with our issues, peer-to-peer, and once we've gotten out of our own way, teach each other how to build our future with our hands, hearts and newly sound minds. We aim to enable instrinsic rewards that comes with true peace and also materially improve lives through the fruits of labor, sidestepping jobs rather electing to "jobbing" aka "sprints," two-week bursts of learning and making with and a desired output, forming a lattice-work of skills unleashed on the world. It's high time, we come down.. "get low" and lay off the sauce to discover what we're really made of. We're here to test metal in the forge of experience that we all might find purpose and meaning, vocation and calling, not just some dead-end job for the corporate cauffers.
Mad Wellness
Let's help people get so well, it should be illegal. We're in the business of metamorphoses - full stop. Time to crack out of the crysalis and migrate little Monarch. We're here to cash the checks of the promises we make to ourselves that wherever you're planted is destined to be the fertile promised land of almond milk and honey.
Don't Call it a Comeback..
Call it what it is.. a CULT! We're building a series of decentralized, autonomous communities of leaders all following the beat of their own drum, demi-gods can take a hike. We're not aiming to make some cult of personality around any one figure, but a cult of personalization in lifestyle design to "manufacture a better reality."
Purpose on Purpose
We're leveraging the power of compound (shared) interest, knowledge as power rendered into activities that unearth passion to deliver tangible productive assets and goods that give us meaning and comfort, joy and satisfaction. We will truly taste the fruits of our labor and savor it rather than rush off to the next "thing" - enjoy the company of our merry men and women, comrades in compassion and realness.
The WeHab Difference By Subtraction
"Less is more. Nothing, divine."
WeHab takes American thrift and ingenuity of old and dovetails that into an M.O. for skilled action and interpersonal awesomeness. Through the subtraction of this run-of-the-mill societal fuckery we're fed on the reg, we're adding a frequency to tune into that might just break the wheel of the horse and buggy carriage of traditional institutions (yet honoring them). Again, WeHab is for addicts and the sober curious alike, but we're devising it in such a way that the funnel flows one-way away from the beer-bong-having ass ways, and into a focused set of tributaries, packing into the stream of life.
Our Approach
WeHab aspires to grow in three-phases
Develop on-ramps to proven recovery tools and fellowship
Our goal is to produce a framework for recovery and overall wellness geared to a wide gamut of the struggle spectrum. With content, community and technology we can service a broader audience to break down stigma, identify addictive tendencies all around us and short-circuit stereotypes that cripple our society/body politics' ability to heal. We need to realize that addiction takes all shapes, sizes, substances and subjects - we can be addicted to other people - it's called codependency. In all, we aim to maintain that abstience isn't just the answer, it's the killer life hack to unlock everyone's unique genius and potential, adding to the greater whole in kind.
Pilot a sober living/hacker-pad bootcamp reality show
Simply rent a house in the Bayview neighborhood of Milwaukee and document the journey through the raw vulnerability required to confront addiction tempered with humor as the best medicine money can't buy. Secondly, we'll be promoting exposure to new skills acquisition and real-world application in near proximity to the world class Milwaukee Makerspace for a hotbed of handicraft and ingenuity to both empower and distract our wandering minds. If idle hands are the devil's playground, active ones will yield the gifts of God. This is about sparking both entreprenuerial vigor and learning what it takes to compete with an edge in the workforce of tomorrow.
Develop the WeHab Lifestyle Operating System
A fun, holistic and comprehensive approach to living a balanced life in a variety of flavors through a simple chat portal as both journey journal, life-coach and administrative assistant. We have the technology.. we mustn't lose our humanity amid these bells and whistles. The daily manifest print out gets facsimilied to your accountability buddy.. yes, we're bringing back the fax - get it straight! The daily manifest galvanizes our ability to focus on the micro while minding the macro picture as a design for living.. one day at a time toward a collective and individual end game of peace and prosperity.
Origin Story
WeHab was conceived of by Kinchasa, sername 5000, at Rogers Behavioral Health's Herrington facility in Oconomowoc Wisconsin. It was his first residential stay, having been to their detox unit several times, "coming in hot" and leaving before things really had a chance to "stick." He celebrated his birthday, Christmas and New Year's there ringing in the best of all three in his life. Kin produced the 1st Annual Rodge Lodge No-Talent Talent Show Holiday Jamboree variety hour complete with skits, stand up and a headline act D.E.E.R. M.A.N. Rudolph's journey into recovery in the difficult holiday season.
The experience at Herrington was transformative — the cohort of fellow patients, all pulling in the right direction together, left him charged up to continue his journey in sobriety by going into a Sober Living house, Roots Recovery for their 6 month program. There he found camaraderie while bolstering his resolve to stay sober for the long haul and give back what he learned there.
He saw not complete transformation's in the process as well as a "gap in the market" - a disconnect between what mental health services on offer and the cold hard reality of "making it" in the real world having been in arrested development for years, often times lacking essential skills and patience to cut it in the workforce.
WeHab builds on the foundation of existing recovery programs combined with smart, clean living through this notion of "lifestyle design" borrowed from Tim Ferris, of the 4-Hour Workweek book fame. Once people have their basic needs met and they feel safe, only then can the work toward something more than just status, but leapfrog that bullshit upward up Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs toward self-actualization. He calls it scaling Maslow's Topology as the great "grading of the playing field" is underway with technology. WeHab is, to use a software term, the "Middleware" to serve the addict and addict-adjacent as well as a bridge between traditional programming and a new school approach in lifestyle design through intention, inspiration and action.
Big Questions We're Asking
The problem is multi-faceted and ugly. The solution is a beautiful mosaic.
